Common Mistakes To Avoid During a Kitchen Remodel Project

If you’ve decided to spruce up your kitchen space, there are a few things to keep in mind beforehand to make sure you don’t make a mistake that could cost you time or money. We here at Eden Construction want to make the kitchen remodel process exciting and are here to help make it as smooth and painless as it can be, so here are some of the most common mistakes and problems people encounter during their kitchen remodel project that you can avoid.

  • Not enough cabinet or drawer space. New appliances and gorgeous countertops are very glamorous, but you don’t want them to take up the entire kitchen. It can be easy to forget about adding storage space if you’re distracted by some of the other flashier elements of a kitchen remodel project, so make sure you’re remembering to keep enough space for your flatware, kitchen electronics, and anything else that needs storing.
  • Lack of movability. With the amount of traffic that your kitchen sees during the day, it’s important to make sure you still have enough space to move around after your kitchen renovation is done. For example, if you’re installing a new island, make sure there’s enough room between it and the counter spaces.
  • Lack of vision. We can help you make decisions for your kitchen remodel project, but ultimately it’s up to you to figure out what your dream kitchen will look like. Without any sort of vision or concept of what you want your kitchen to look like, it’s easier to wind up with a renovation that you aren’t satisfied with.
